Below are the statistics for single family residences sold in May. As you can see, the highest number of sales was in the Big Bear city area, which tells me that people are still trying to purchase properties which will make good vacation rentals, but are increasingly getting priced out of the Big Bear Lake area.
There were a total of 64 single-family residences sold in the Big Bear MLS last month. Our current active inventory is 381 properties, which puts us at about a 6-month inventory, which is typically considered a healthy market; but it’s also the time of year when the inventory grows, just before the normally busy Summer selling season.
