Hi folks,

It was another busy week as summer winds down and the mad rush is on to find a cabin before the kids go back to school.  The weather has been beautiful and there’s still plenty to do as you can see from this weekend’s “What’s Up at 7000 ft”:

Highlights include the antique wooden boat show, Aaron’s Big Bass Tournament at B’s Backyard BBQ (alliteration, anyone?); and (I can’t believe I’m saying this) Cece Penniston’s Dance Party at Northwoods Resort.

This week brought more good news for the housing market.  We’re down to only 16 bank-owned properties in the Big Bear MLS for all of Big Bear Lake, Moonridge, Fox Farm, Big Bear City, and Whispering Forest!  On a state level, here’s an article from C.A.R.   As stated in the article “California home sales and prices both posted strong gains in July, with the sales pace showing positive year-over-year growth for the fourth straight month and the median price reaching a near-four-year high”
