May 2015 Big Bear Real Estate Stats/What’s Up this Weekend
Below are the monthly statistics for May 2015 single family residence sales. The Big Bear real estate market has continued to be strong through-out the Spring, even though the number of sales usually dips during this time of year until picking back up around the end of June/beginning of July, when the summer season really begins. The average $/sqft showed relatively large increases in BBC, FAWN, and BBL-lakeview. There was a very shallow-water lakefront that finally sold after having been on the market for quite some time that dragged down the $/sqft a bit in that area and the $/sqft dropped about 10% in Moonridge, also (as we’ve mentioned several times, this is pretty much invariably the best time of year to get a great deal close to the slopes)!
Area | #Sales | Avg. Sale | Avg. $/sqft | SP/LP | DOM |
BBC | 31 | $230,583 | $165.95 | 99% | 83 |
BBL-general | 15 | $277,526 | $207.68 | 97% | 75 |
BBL-lakeview | 1 | $312,000 | $269.90 | 97% | 29 |
BBL-Lakefront | 2 | $1,560,000 | $374.50 | 94% | 240 |
FAWN | 3 | $591,666 | $205.64 | 96% | 390 |
FOX | 6 | $541,136 | $235.98 | 98% | 45 |
MOON | 15 | $274,749 | $198.22 | 91% | 81 |
SUGA | 10 | $130,520 | $143.44 | 99% | 72 |
Here is a link to this week’s “What’s up at 7000ft”. This weekend’s highlights include the 12th Annual Carp Round-up, “Desperado” at the Cave, and plenty of outdoor activities at the Discovery Center.
Have a fantastic weekend!
