July 2010 CA Sales and Price Report
I can’t believe August is almost over already, but below is a link to the CA Sales and Price Report for July. As expected, the number of sales for July was down because of all the homebuyers taking advantage of the tax credit and rushing to close by the original cut-off date of June 30th. Still, the median sales price for July was up 10.4% from a year ago. Even more interesting are the first two tables in the report which show when the peak and trough occurred in the market for the last market cycle, by county. As you can see, the median sales price in CA over-all is up 28.4% from its low-point in Feb. 09:
