April 2010 CA Sales Report
The link below contains the monthly sales and price report for CA:

Once again, the median sales price is up SIGNIFICANTLY from last year (21%)! The number of sales was down 8.1%; but that is most likely because buyers were delaying closing until after May 1st, so that they could “double-dip” on the federal and state tax credits:
œIt™s likely that the state tax credit that went into effect May 1 created an incentive for many buyers to postpone closing escrow so they could take advantage of both the state and federal tax credits that were available, said C.A.R. President Steve Goddard. œWe should see the pace of closed sales edge up in May and June as these tax-incentivized transactions close”.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend; and don’t forget that the last day to take advantage of the 2010 “Screamin’Deal” Passes is May 31st. These passes are good for the lifts all winter season, as well as all summer for the Sky Chair at Snow Summit (for mountain bike riding and access to the restaurant at the top of Summit).
