October 2013 Big Bear Real Estate Statistics/ Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hi folks!
Sorry this email is coming a little later in the month than usual; but we’re back from Maui, just in time for opening day at Bear Mtn tomorrow!! (Snow Summit is also expected to open tomorrow or by this weekend at the latest).  I’d like to start out by saying “Happy Thanksgiving” to everyone and to thank you for making this our best year yet!  As many of you know, we formed our own brokerage this year (“Big Bear Team Realty”) and it has definitely been a little challenging to start our own business; but the pay-off so far has been incredible!
Looking at the October 2013 Big Bear real estate statistics, it is definitely becoming more of a seller’s market.  Virtually everything is selling within a few percent of asking and lakeview properties in Big Bear Lake actually sold at 103% on average!  In fact, the average $/sqft was up again in October for almost all of the areas that we track:

There was also one shallow-water lakefront that sold in Fawnskin for $750,000.
