August 2013 Big Bear Real Estate Statistics/Last Chance for Discounted Lift Tickets!

Here are the monthly Big Bear Real Estate stats for August.  If you compare them to the stats from last month, you can see that average sales prices and average $/sqft in Big Bear Lake have shown another significant monthly rise in all 3 categories.  Big Bear City has also shown very large increases in both average sales price and average $/sqft, along with a record number of monthly sales!

In addition, one “lakefront” sold in Fawnskin for $450K.  It sold at $572.52/sqft because it was only 786sqft!
Finally, here’s this week’s edition of “What’s Up at 7000ft”.  This weekend’s highlights include the ongoing 43rd Annual Oktoberfest, the 14th Annual Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, the Autumn Wine Walk in the Village, the Kodiak 100 Ultramarathon Trail Run, and the10th Annual Hot Dawgz and Handrails Snowboarding Competition at Bear Mtn.  The day of Hot Dawgz and Handrails is always the last chance of the year to buy discounted season passes.  This time of year is also always the last chance to buy a home and get it on a rental program in time to have it rented for Thanksgiving (the traditional beginning of our winter rental season)!
