September 2012 Big Bear Real Estate “Sold” and “Pending/Back-up” Lists

Hi folks,

Below are the monthly “sold” and “pending/back-up only” lists for the month of September.  As you can see, it was another very strong month for Big Bear real estate; and with so many properties having sold or gone into escrow, the number of available properties on the market has dropped to a new low not seen since the peak of the last cycle.  As of today, there are only 484 single family homes for sale in the entire Big Bear MLS!!

Fall is definitely kicking into high gear in Big Bear.  The leaves are changing colors, the weather is beautiful (sunny with temps in the upper 60’s/low 70’s); and Oktoberfest is well underway.  This weekend, they have even added a Friday night (aka “Local’s Night); so come on up and enjoy some brats, beer, and plenty of music, dancing, and contests!  Other events this weekend include the 7th Annual Big Bear Lake Troutfest, the 1st Annual Big Bear Ridge Trail Run, the CA State Big Bear Mountain Bike Endurance Championships, and the Flashlight Safari at Big Bear Alpine Zoo.
