Below are the monthly lists of “Sold” and “Pending/Contingent” properties for September. The number of sales is holding strong and the number in escrow has increased significantly. As you can see, we finally had 6 lakefronts close last month and there are 8 more in escrow (including one condo), so we should be well on track to beat last year’s numbers, if they all close. If banks would just get faster at closing short sales; we would most likely see the inventory shrinking even more rapidly. As it stands, our MLS is down to only 773 active single family residence listings in the entire valley!
